* Graham * toshudhiman Both I was a user first I first used xtgem in 2008 worked here from dec 2010
Until I can get someone to fix it the best way is to put dummy classes in global_stylesheet.css
like this
.my_class { }
.my_other_class { }

Copy code

that will at least put the class names in the selector but you will still have to add the styles in the editor on each page

* toshudhiman * Graham Ok.
Try like this.
Make 3 new block (text blocks)

Then make a new class (css)

Then edit those 3 blocks and select "class option"

There u will nt find the class name which u just made before.

Thats the problem im facing.

And i m from india.

* Graham * toshudhiman I just ran a test using the mobile template
I created a page
I added a class (2 actually as the first one still has that bug of no . (dot) )
I added a block and assigned that class to it
I added another class
I edited the block and selected the new class
all worked just fine !
Which block are you adding I was just using a link
Ahh hang on I have found it ok but there is nothing I can do today all the other staff have gone home for the weekend (I am in a different country to them anyway) I will report it and try to find out wtf is going on

* toshudhiman * Graham Sir u r nt understanding what i wnt to say.

I said i had made a css in CSS option on page in mobile version of site.

I can use this css in every new block im making.
But can't able to use the css i had made in the blocks which i had already made (means older blocks)

When i edit them and see the option "class".

I will nt get my css there which i made.

* Graham * toshudhiman Your site will only use it fully for the forum function and my version of the guestbooks twig file I also have a rss tool a youtube tool a filelist template and a re twigged version of xtgems blog function that all use the same styles and classes although some of these are still being worked on and not released yet and now that you can set your own css for the forum I have to re work it somewhat

* Graham * toshudhiman ok if you want to do it this way you can but you will have to do it for every page on your site the internal stylesheet option is really only for adding extra classes to a particular page not for the whole stylesheet
just be careful as there are a couple of strange bugs we have not nailed down yet

1/ the first class you define in a new internal stylesheet on the mobile templates will not have a .(dot) in front of the name and will not work so you will have to create a dummy (just add a name and leave the rest blank) you can delete this dummy class after you have created other classes

2/ do not create classes with names 2 characters long or your page will get an error and stop working as html and be displayed as text although editing the class name and re-saving will get rid of the bug

for new pages or when you make a change you will need to "copy stylesheet from other page" and select the page with your up to date stylesheet
"merge" replaces classes that are different in the target page with the ones from the donor page
"replace" replaces all the classes in the target page with the ones from the donor page

it is actually far less work to create the classes properly in global_stylesheet.css in the first place as these then automatically apply to all your pages and are available in the building tool blocks of all pages
You just need to learn how css classes work from a tutorial site
