* Graham * bemethavinci You need to understand basic html before anything without html you have no site html is the scaffolding that holds everything together
Next is basic css how to set colors backgrounds and and borders how to create a stylesheet and link it to your html understanding how css can be built up using multiple stylesheets (hence the name Cascading Style Sheets)
once you have a basic understanding of html and css you can start worrying about stuff like javascript twig jquery xtscript
and all the other scripts and stuff
as for Bootstrap it is just html and css with a bit of javascript thrown in and there are certain things you need to create that framework or it just does not work correctly
its like building a house you have to start with the foundations and work up or everything just falls apart you keep trying to put the roof on before you even have any walls to hold it up

* Graham * bemethavinci basic HTML and CSS are all you really need the rest will come with time as and when you need it
you probably need to spend more time deciding on what the actual content of the site is than how all the code underneath works
you can leave most of that to others and just learn enough to know how to place the code in the framework of your site

* bemethavinci * Graham im not advanced in coding but i think i need to dive into it...or should i just learn only CSS and TWIG to create the webpage?

* Graham * bemethavinci Well in theory yes you can make a full page using just the twig files and I have tried it you still need at least <!DOCTYPE> and <html> on the page or it is not treated as a html document and just shows as text
you are limited to just the blog guestbook chat or forum functions as without them twig is not used and when you use the building tool to edit the functions or create/edit blog posts the page would get messed up by xtgems building tool parser as it re inserts <head> and <title> elements
so I would only recommend it for the advanced user and it is far more complex than just using the default files
if you mean just adding the _header and _footer into the twig then yes but then you have to add them in all the twig files (you can use a twig include) and to me it seems pointless as the default files do the same thing
