bemethavinci Well in theory yes you can make a full page using just the twig files and I have tried it you still need at least <!DOCTYPE> and <html> on the page or it is not treated as a html document and just shows as text
you are limited to just the blog guestbook chat or forum functions as without them twig is not used and when you use the building tool to edit the functions or create/edit blog posts the page would get messed up by xtgems building tool parser as it re inserts <head> and <title> elements
so I would only recommend it for the advanced user and it is far more complex than just using the default files
if you mean just adding the _header and _footer into the twig then yes but then you have to add them in all the twig files (you can use a twig include) and to me it seems pointless as the default files do the same thing
